Hadith 3921
أَخْبَرَنَا ابْنُ سَلْمٍ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا الْوَلِيدُ بْنُ مُسْلِمٍ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا الأَوْزَاعِيُّ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنِي عَطَاءٌ ، عَنْ جَابِرِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ، قَالَ : أَهْلَلْنَا مَعَ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ بِالْحَجِّ خَالِصًا ، لا نَخْلِطُ بِغَيْرِهِ ، فَقَدِمْنَا مَكَّةَ لأَرْبَعِ لَيَالٍ خَلَوْنَ مِنْ ذِي الْحِجَّةِ ، فَلَمَّا طُفْنَا بِالْبَيْتِ ، وَسَعَيْنَا بَيْنَ الصَّفَا وَالْمَرْوَةِ ، وَأَمَرَنَا رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَنْ نَجْعَلَهَا عَمْرَةً ، وَأَنْ نَحِلَّ إِلَى النِّسَاءِ ، فَقُلْنَا بَيْنَنَا : لَيْسَ بَيْنَنَا وَبَيْنَ عَرَفَةَ إِلا خَمْسٌ ، فَنَخْرُجُ إِلَيْهَا ، وَمَذَاكِيرُنَا تَقْطُرُ مَنِيًّا ، فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " إِنِّي لأَبَرُّكُمْ وَأَصْدَقُكُمْ ، وَلَوْلا الْهَدْيُ لأَحْلَلْتُ " ، فَقَامَ سُرَاقَةُ بْنُ مَالِكٍ ، فَقَالَ : يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ، أَمْتِعَتُنَا هَذِهِ لِعَامِنَا هَذَا أَمْ لِلأَبَدِ ؟ ، فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " بَلْ لِلأَبَدِ " .
Sayyiduna Jabir bin Abdullah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: We recited only the Talbiyah for Hajj with the Prophet (peace be upon him), and nothing else was added to it. On the fourth of Dhul-Hijjah, we arrived in Makkah. When we had performed the Tawaf of the House (Ka'bah) and the Sa'i between Safa and Marwah, the Prophet (peace be upon him) commanded us to convert it into an 'Umrah and to become lawful for our women. We said among ourselves: Only five days remain between us and 'Arafah; when we go towards 'Arafah, drops of semen will be dripping from our private parts. The Prophet (peace be upon him) said: I am the most pious and the most truthful among you. If I did not have the sacrificial animal with me, I would also have come out of Ihram. Sayyiduna Suraqah bin Malik (may Allah be pleased with him) stood up and asked: O Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him)! Is this concession for this year only or forever? The Prophet (peace be upon him) replied: Rather, it is forever.
