Chapter on Qiran – On the Command for One Bringing a Sacrificial Animal to Combine the Intention for Hajj and Umrah
Hadith 3912
أَخْبَرَنَا عُمَرُ بْنُ سَعِيدِ بْنِ سِنَانٍ ، قَالَ : أَخْبَرَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ أَبِي بَكْرٍ ، عَنْ مَالِكٍ ، عَنِ ابْنِ شِهَابٍ ، عَنْ عُرْوَةَ بْنِ الزُّبَيْرِ ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ ، أَنَّهَا قَالَتْ : خَرَجْنَا مَعَ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فِي حَجَّةِ الْوَدَاعِ فَأَهْلَلْنَا بِعُمْرَةٍ ، ثُمَّ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " مَنْ كَانَ مَعَهُ هَدْيٌ فَلْيُهلِلَّ بِالْحَجِّ وَالْعُمْرَةِ ، ثُمَّ لا يَحِلُّ حَتَّى يَحِلَّ مِنْهُمَا جَمِيعًا " ، قَالَتْ : فَطَافَ الَّذِينَ أَهَلُّوا بِالْعُمْرَةِ بِالْبَيْتِ وَبَيْنَ الصَّفَا وَالْمَرْوَةِ ، ثُمَّ أَحَلُّوا ، ثُمَّ طَافُوا طَوَافًا آخَرَ بَعْدَ أَنْ رَجَعُوا مِنْ مِنًى لِحَجِّهِمْ ، وَأَمَّا الَّذِينَ أَهَلُّوا بِالْحَجِّ ، وَجَمَعُوا بَيْنَ الْحَجِّ وَالْعُمْرَةِ ، فَإِنَّمَا طَافُوا طَوَافًا وَاحِدًا ، قَالَتْ : فَقَدِمْتُ مَكَّةَ ، وَأَنَا حَائِضٌ ، لَمْ أَطُفْ بِالْبَيْتِ ، وَلا بَيْنَ الصَّفَا وَالْمَرْوَةِ ، فَشَكَوْتُ ذَلِكَ إِلَى رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، فَقَالَ : " انْقُضِي رَأْسَكِ ، وَامْتَشِطِي ، وَأَهِلِّي بِالْحَجِّ ، وَدَعِي الْعُمْرَةَ " ، قَالَتْ : فَفَعَلْتُ ، فَلَمَّا قَضَيْنَا الْحَجَّ ، أَرْسَلَنِي رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ مَعَ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ أَبِي بَكْرٍ إِلَى التَّنْعِيمِ ، فَاعْتَمَرْتُ ، فَقَالَ : " هَذِهِ مَكَانُ عُمْرَتِكِ " .
Lady Aisha Siddiqa (may Allah be pleased with her) narrates: On the occasion of the Farewell Pilgrimage, we set out with the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him). We had put on the Ihram for Umrah. Then the Prophet (peace be upon him) said: Whoever has a sacrificial animal with him should recite the Talbiyah for both Hajj and Umrah, and he should not come out of Ihram until he has completed both. Lady Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) narrates: Those who had put on the Ihram for Umrah (or who were reciting the Talbiyah for Umrah) opened their Ihram after performing the Tawaf of the House of Allah and the Sa’i between Safa and Marwah. When they returned from Mina, they performed Tawaf again for their Hajj. However, those who had recited the Talbiyah for Hajj combined Hajj and Umrah, so they performed only one Tawaf. Lady Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) narrates: When I came to Makkah, I was menstruating. I could not perform the Tawaf of the House of Allah nor the Sa’i between Safa and Marwah. I complained about this to the Prophet (peace be upon him), so he said: Open your hair, comb it, and recite the Talbiyah for Hajj, and leave the Umrah. Lady Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) narrates: I did so. When I completed the Hajj, the Prophet (peace be upon him) sent me with Abdur Rahman bin Abu Bakr to Tan’eem, and from there I recited the Talbiyah for Umrah. The Prophet (peace be upon him) said: This will be in place of your (missed) Umrah.
