Chapter on Qiran – On a Report Used by Some Scholars to Recommend Tamattu’ (Combining Umrah and Hajj)
Hadith 3910
أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو يَعْلَى ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا عُبَيْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ عُمَرَ الْقَوَارِيرِيُّ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ ، عَنْ عَبْدَةَ بْنِ أَبِي لُبَابَةَ ، عَنْ شَقِيقِ بْنِ سَلَمَةَ ، عَنِ الصَّبِيِّ بْنِ مَعْبَدٍ ، أَنَّهُ أَهَلَّ بِحَجٍّ وَعُمْرَةٍ ، فَذَكَرَ ذَلِكَ لِعُمَرَ ، فَقَالَ : " هُدِيتَ لِسُنَّةِ نَبِيِّكَ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ " .
Sabi bin Ma'bad narrates: He assumed the Ihram for Hajj and Umrah together. He (later) mentioned this to Sayyiduna Umar (may Allah be pleased with him), so Sayyiduna Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) said: You have been guided to the Sunnah of your Prophet.
