Section – On Clarifying That the Prophet’s Statement to the Emigrant About Staying Three Days After Departure Meant Staying in Mecca
Hadith 3907
أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو خَلِيفَةَ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا مُسَدَّدٌ ، عَنْ يَحْيَى ، عَنْ سُفْيَانَ ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ حُمَيْدٍ ، عَنِ السَّائِبِ بْنِ يَزِيدَ ، عَنِ الْعَلاءِ بْنِ الْحَضْرَمِيِّ ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ : " يَمْكُثُ الْمُهَاجِرُ ثَلاثًا بَعْدَ قَضَاءِ نُسُكِهِ " .
Sayyiduna Alaa bin Hadrami (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates this statement of the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him): "A person coming from outside may stay (in Makkah) for three days after performing the rites of Hajj."
