Section – On Clarifying That a Menstruating Woman Is Allowed to Leave Without a Farewell Tawaf If She Had Already Performed Tawaf
Hadith 3900
أَخْبَرَنَا الْحُسَيْنُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ أَبِي مَعْشَرٍ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ بَشَّارٍ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى الْقَطَّانُ ، عَنْ عُبَيْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عُمَرَ ، عَنِ الْقَاسِمِ بْنِ مُحَمَّدٍ ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ ، قَالَتْ : قُلْتُ : يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ مَا أَرَى صَفِيَّةَ إِلا حَابِسَتَنَا ، قَالَ : " مَا شَأْنُهَا ؟ " ، قُلْتُ : حَاضَتْ ، قَالَ : " أَمَا كَانَتْ طَافَتْ قَبْلَ ذَلِكَ ؟ " ، قُلْتُ : بَلَى ، وَلَكِنَّهَا حَاضَتْ ، قَالَ : " فَلا حَبْسَ عَلَيْهَا فَلْتَنْفِرْ " .
Lady Aisha Siddiqa (may Allah be pleased with her) narrates: I said, "O Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him)! I think we will have to stay because of Lady Safiyyah (may Allah be pleased with her)." The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) asked, "What has happened to her?" We said, "She has started menstruating." The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said, "Has she not performed the Tawaf before?" We said, "Yes, but she has started menstruating." The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said, "Then it is not necessary for her to stay; she can depart."
