Section – On Permitting Some Women to Use What Was Prohibited
Hadith 3898
أَخْبَرَنَا الْحَسَنُ بْنُ سُفْيَانَ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ الْحَجَّاجِ السَّامِيُّ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا وهَيْبٌ ، عَنِ ابْنِ طَاوُسٍ ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ ، قَالَ : " رَخَّصَ لِلْحَائِضِ أَنْ تَنْفِرَ إِذَا حَاضَتْ " ، قَالَ : وَسَمِعْتُ ابْنَ عُمَرَ ، يَقُولُ : " إِنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ رَخَّصَ لَهُنَّ " .
Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them) narrates: (The Prophet Muhammad, peace and blessings be upon him) permitted menstruating women that when they experience menstruation, they may depart (before performing the Tawaf of the House of Allah). Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Umar (may Allah be pleased with them) says: Indeed, the Messenger of Allah granted these women this concession.
Hadith 3899
أَخْبَرَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ خَالِدِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الْمَلِكِ بْنِ مُسَرِّحٍ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا عَمِّي الْوَلِيدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْمَلِكِ بْنِ مُسَرِّحٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا عِيسَى بْنُ يُونُسَ ، عَنْ عُبَيْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عُمَرَ ، عَنْ نَافِعٍ ، عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ ، قَالَ : " مَنْ حَجِّ الْبَيْتَ ، فَلْيَكُنْ آخِرَ عَهْدِهِ بِالْبَيْتِ ، إِلا الْحُيَّضَ رَخَّصَ لَهُنَّ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ " .
Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) narrates: Whoever performs Hajj should make the last act the Tawaf of the House (Ka'bah), except for menstruating women. The command for them is different. Allah's Messenger has granted them concession.
