Shaving and Sacrifice – On Permitting the Muhrim to Shave Before Sacrificing and Sacrifice Before Stoning
Hadith 3878
أَخْبَرَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ الأَزْدِيُّ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا إِسْحَاقُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ ، قَالَ : أَخْبَرَنَا النَّضْرُ بْنُ شُمَيْلٍ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادُ بْنُ سَلَمَةَ ، عَنْ قَيْسِ بْنِ سَعْدٍ ، عَنْ عَطَاءِ بْنِ أَبِي رَبَاحٍ ، عَنْ جَابِرِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ، أَنَّ رَجُلا ، قَالَ : يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ذَبَحْتُ قَبْلَ أَنْ أَرْمِيَ ؟ ، فَقَالَ : " ارْمِ وَلا حَرَجَ " ، فَقَالَ آخَرُ : يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ، حَلَقْتُ قَبْلَ أَنْ أَذْبَحَ ؟ ، قَالَ : " اذْبَحْ وَلا حَرَجَ " ، فَقَالَ آخَرُ : طُفْتُ قَبْلَ أَنْ أَرْمِيَ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ؟ ، فَقَالَ : " ارْمِ وَلا حَرَجَ " .
Sayyiduna Jabir bin Abdullah (may Allah be pleased with them both) narrates: A man said, "O Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him)! I performed the sacrifice before the stoning." The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said, "Now perform the stoning, there is no harm." Another person said, "O Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him)! I shaved my head before the sacrifice." He said, "Now perform the sacrifice, there is no harm." Another person asked, "O Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him)! I performed the Tawaf before the stoning." He said, "Now perform the stoning, there is no harm."
