Stoning Jamrat al-Aqabah – On Permitting the Imam to Address the People While Stoning the Jamarat from His Mount
Hadith 3874
أَخْبَرَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ عَلِيِّ بْنِ الْمُثَنَّى ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو خَيْثَمَةَ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا وَكِيعٌ ، عَنْ إِسْمَاعِيلَ بْنِ أَبِي خَالِدٍ ، عَنْ أَخيهِ ، عَنْ أَبِي كَاهِلٍ قَالَ إِسْمَاعِيلُ : وَقَدْ رَأَيْتُ أَبَا كَاهِلٍ ، قَالَ : " رَأَيْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَخْطُبُ النَّاسَ يَوْمَ عِيدٍ عَلَى نَاقَةٍ لَهُ خَرْمَاءَ ، وَحَبَشِيٌّ مُمْسِكٌ بِخِطَامِهَا " .
Ismail narrates: I heard Sayyiduna Abu Kahil (may Allah be pleased with him) saying this, he says: I saw the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) giving a sermon to the people on the day of Eid. He was riding a she-camel whose ear was partially cut, and a black man was holding the rein of that she-camel.
