Stoning Jamrat al-Aqabah – On the Place Where Pilgrims Stand When Stoning the Jamarat
Hadith 3870
أَخْبَرَنَا أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو خَلِيفَةَ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ كَثِيرٍ ، قَالَ : أَخْبَرَنَا سُفْيَانُ ، عَنِ الأَعْمَشِ ، عَنْ إِبْرَاهِيمَ ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ يَزِيدَ ، قَالَ : رَمَى عَبْدُ اللَّهِ مِنْ بَطْنِ الْوَادِي ، فَقُلْتُ : يَا أَبَا عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ إِنَّ النَّاسَ يَرْمُونَهَا مِنْ فَوْقِهَا ، فَقَالَ : " هَذَا وَالَّذِي لا إِلَهَ غَيْرُهُ الْمَقَامُ الَّذِي أُنْزِلَتْ عَلَيْهِ سُورَةُ الْبَقَرَةِ " .
Ibrahim bin Abdur Rahman narrates: Sayyiduna Abdullah (may Allah be pleased with him) threw pebbles from the lower part of the valley, so I said: O Abu Abdur Rahman! People throw pebbles from the upper side, so he replied: By Him besides whom there is no deity, this is the standing place of the one upon whom Surah Al-Baqarah was revealed.
