Sayyiduna Usama bin Zaid (may Allah be pleased with both of them) narrates: The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) departed from Arafat, and when he reached the valley, he dismounted from his ride. He urinated, then performed ablution, but did not perform ablution excessively. I said: O Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him)! Will you pray? The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: The prayer will be ahead. Then he mounted (his ride) until he reached Muzdalifah. Then he dismounted, performed ablution with thoroughness, then the prayer was established. He offered the Maghrib prayer, then everyone made their camel sit at their place of residence. Then the Iqamah was called for the Isha prayer. The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) offered both these prayers, and he did not offer any (other voluntary prayer) between them.
