Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) narrates regarding Sayyiduna Fadl bin Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both): He was riding behind the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) on the mount. The Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) continued to recite «لا الہ الا اللہ» during the halt. He continued to mention the greatness of Allah Almighty and supplicated to Him. When he set out, the people had already departed, so the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) commanded them in a loud voice to proceed calmly. When he reached the valley, he poured water and performed ablution, then mounted again. When he arrived at Muzdalifah, he performed the Maghrib and Isha prayers together. When he had performed the Fajr prayer, he remained there. When he set out, the people also set out. When the people set out, he said: Proceed calmly. The Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) was also pulling the reins of his mount, until when he entered the lower part of Mina, he said: It is obligatory upon you to pick such pebbles as can be held between the fingers; they will be thrown at the Jamrah. And at that place, the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) continued to recite the Talbiyah until he had performed the Rami of the Jamrah.
