Standing at Arafat and Muzdalifah and Departing from Them – On the Pilgrims’ Standing at Arafat and Muzdalifah
Hadith 3854
أَخْبَرَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ الْحَسَنِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الْجَبَّارِ الصُّوفِيُّ بِبَغْدَادَ ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو نَصْرٍ التَّمَّارُ عَبْدُ الْمَلِكِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الْعَزِيزِ الْقُشَيْرِيُّ فِي شَوَّالٍ سَنَةَ سَبْعٍ وَعِشْرِينَ وَمِائَتَيْنِ ، حَدَّثَنَا سَعِيدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْعَزِيزِ ، عَنْ سُلَيْمَانَ بْنِ مُوسَى ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ أَبِي حُسَيْنٍ ، عَنْ جُبَيْرِ بْنِ مُطْعِمٍ ، قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " كُلُّ عَرَفَاتٍ مَوْقِفٌ ، وَارْفَعُوا عَنْ عُرَنَةَ ، وَكُلُّ مُزْدَلِفَةَ مَوْقِفٌ ، وَارْفَعُوا عَنْ مُحَسِّرٍ ، فَكُلُّ فِجَاجِ مِنًى مَنْحَرٌ ، وَفِي كُلِّ أَيَّامِ التَّشْرِيقِ ذَبَحٌ " .
Sayyiduna Jubair bin Mut’im (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: The Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) said: “All of ‘Arafat is a place for standing (Wuquf), so keep yourselves above (away from) ‘Urnah. And all of Muzdalifah is a place for standing, so keep yourselves above (away from) Muhassir. Every path of Mina is a place for sacrifice, and sacrifice can be done on all the days of Tashreeq.”
