Standing at Arafat and Muzdalifah and Departing from Them – On Allah’s Pride Before His Angels Over the Pilgrims Standing at Arafat
Hadith 3852
أَخْبَرَنَا أَخْبَرَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ الأَزْدِيُّ ، حَدَّثَنَا إِسْحَاقُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ ، أَخْبَرَنَا النَّضْرُ بْنُ شُمَيْلٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا يُونُسُ بْنُ أَبِي إِسْحَاقَ ، عَنْ مُجَاهِدٍ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ ، عَنْ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ : " إِنَّ اللَّهَ يُبَاهِي بِأَهْلِ عَرَفَاتٍ مَلائِكَةَ أَهْلِ السَّمَاءِ ، فَيَقُولُ : انْظُرُوا إِلَى عِبَادِي هَؤُلاءِ جَاءُونِي شُعْثًا غُبْرًا " .
Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates this statement of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him): "Indeed, Allah expresses pride before the inhabitants of the heavens, that is, the angels, regarding the people of Arafat and says: Look at My servants! They have come to Me, that is, to My court, disheveled and dust-covered."
