Entering Mecca - What the pilgrim should begin with upon entering Mecca
Hadith 3808
أَخْبَرَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ سَلْمٍ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا حَرْمَلَةُ بْنُ يَحْيَى ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ وَهْبٍ ، قَالَ : أَخْبَرَنِي عَمْرُو بْنُ الْحَارِثِ ، عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ ، أَنَّ رَجُلا مِنْ أَهْلِ الْعِرَاقِ ، قَالَ : سَلْ لِي عُرْوَةَ بْنَ الزُّبَيْرِ عَنْ رَجُلٍ يُهِلُّ بِالْحَجِّ ، فَإِذَا طَافَ بِالْبَيْتِ أَهَلّ أَمْ لا ؟ فَقَالَ عُرْوَةُ : " قَدْ حَجَّ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، وَأَخْبَرَتْنِي عَائِشَةُ ، أَنَّ أَوَّلَ شَيْءٍ بَدَأَ بِهِ حِينَ قَدِمَ مَكَّةَ أَنَّهُ تَوَضَّأَ ، وَطَافَ بِالْبَيْتِ " .
Muhammad bin Abdur Rahman narrates: A man from Iraq said: Ask Urwah bin Zubair about a person who enters into the state of Ihram for Hajj and performs the Tawaf of the House of Allah; should he continue reciting the Talbiyah or not? So Urwah informed that the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) performed Hajj. Lady Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) has reported that when the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) arrived in Makkah, the very first thing he did was perform ablution and then performed the Tawaf of the House of Allah.
