Ihram - Permission to perform Hajj with a child who has not reached the age of obligatory Hajj
Hadith 3797
أَخْبَرَنَا الْحُسَيْنُ بْنُ إِدْرِيسَ ، قَالَ : أَخْبَرَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ أَبِي بَكْرٍ ، عَنْ مَالِكٍ ، عَنْ إِبْرَاهِيمَ بْنِ عُقْبَةَ ، عَنْ كُرَيْبٍ مَوْلَى بْنِ عَبَّاسٍ ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ ، أَنّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : مَرَّ بِامْرَأَةٍ ، فَقِيلَ لَهَا : هَذَا رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ؟ ، فَأَخَذَتْ بِعَضُدِ صَبِيٍّ كَانَ مَعَهَا ، فَقَالَتْ : أَلِهَذَا حَجٌّ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ؟ ، قَالَ : " نَعَمْ وَلَكِ أَجْرٌ " .
Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them) narrates: The Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) passed by a woman. It was said to her: This is the Messenger of Allah. So the woman took hold of the arm of her child who was with her. She said: O Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him)! Has this child performed Hajj? The Prophet (peace be upon him) replied: Yes, and you will also have the reward (for it).
