Ihram - Clarification that the Prophet (peace be upon him) commanded those who ended ihram and made Umrah to assume ihram again for Hajj from Mecca
Hadith 3796
أَخْبَرَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ مُوسَى بِعَسْكَرِ مُكْرَمٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَحْيَى الْقُطَعِيُّ ، حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ بَكْرٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ جُرَيْجٍ ، أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو الزُّبَيْرِ أَنَّهُ ، سَمِعَ جَابِرَ بْنَ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ، يَذْكُرُ حَجَّةَ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، قَالَ : فَأَمَرَنَا بَعْدَ مَا تَمَتَّعْنَا أَنْ نَحِلَّ ، قَالَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " فَإِذَا أَرَدْتُمْ أَنْ تَنْطَلِقُوا إِلَى مِنًى فَأَهِلُّوا " ، قَالَ : فَأَهْلَلْنَا مِنَ الْبَطْحَاءِ .
Sayyiduna Jabir bin Abdullah (may Allah be pleased with them both), while mentioning the Hajj of the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), states: We had intended to perform Hajj Tamattu. Then the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) instructed us to remove our Ihram. The Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: When you intend to proceed towards Mina, then put on Ihram again. Sayyiduna Jabir (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: So we put on Ihram from Batha.
