Ihram - Clarification that the Prophet (peace be upon him) gave this command to those without sacrificial animals, not those with them
Hadith 3793
أَخْبَرَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ الْحُسَيْنِ بْنِ سُلَيْمَانَ الْعَدْلُ بِالْفُسْطَاطِ ، حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ هِشَامِ بْنِ أَبِي خَيْرَةَ ، حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ أَبِي عَدِيٍّ ، عَنْ دَاوُدَ بْنِ أَبِي هِنْدَ ، عَنْ أَبِي نَضْرَةَ ، عَنْ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ الْخُدْرِيِّ ، قَالَ : خَرَجْنَا مَعَ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ نَصْرُخُ بِالْحَجِّ صُرَاخًا ، فَلَمَّا طُفْنَا بِالْبَيْتِ ، قَالَ : " اجْعَلُوهَا عَمْرَةً إِلا مَنْ كَانَ مَعَهُ هَدْيٌ " ، قَالَ : فَحَلَلْنَا وَجَعَلْنَاهَا عَمْرَةً ، فَلَمَّا كَانَ غَدَاةَ التَّرْوِيَةِ ، صَرَخْنَا بِالْحَجِّ ، ثُمَّ انْطَلَقْنَا إِلَى مِنًى .
Sayyiduna Abu Sa'id Khudri (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: We set out with the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) reciting the Talbiyah for Hajj. When we had performed the Tawaf of the House of Allah, the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Convert it into 'Umrah, except for the person who has a sacrificial animal with him (he should not do so). The narrator says: So we ended our Ihram and converted it into 'Umrah. When the morning of Tarwiyah came, we again began reciting the Talbiyah for Hajj and set out towards Mina.
