Ihram - Command for those who entered ihram wearing a shirt to remove it, not tear it, contrary to those who say it should be torn
Hadith 3778
أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْحَسَنِ بْنِ قُتَيْبَةَ ، حَدَّثَنَا يَزِيدُ بْنُ مَوْهَبٍ ، حَدَّثَنِي اللَّيْثُ بْنُ سَعْدٍ ، عَنْ عَطَاءِ بْنِ أَبِي رَبَاحٍ ، عَنْ صَفْوَانَ بْنِ يَعْلَى ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ ، أَنَّ رَجُلا جَاءَ إِلَى رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، وَقَدْ أَحْرَمَ بِعُمْرَةٍ ، وَعَلَيْهِ جُبَّةٌ وَهُوَ مُتَخَلِّقٌ ، فَأَمَرَهُ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَنْ : " يَنْزِعَهَا نَزْعًا ، وَيَغْتَسِلَ مَرَّتَيْنِ ، أَوْ ثَلاثًا " ، وَقَالَ : " مَا كُنْتَ فَاعِلا فِي حَجَّتِكَ ، فَاصْنَعْهُ فِي عُمْرَتِكَ " .
Safwan bin Ya'la narrates from his father: A man came to the service of the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him). He had put on the Ihram for Umrah, was wearing a cloak, and had applied perfume. The Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) instructed him to take off the cloak and wash it two or three times. The Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) said: Whatever you do in Hajj, do the same in Umrah (i.e., wear the Ihram in the same manner).
