Hadith 3761
Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) narrates: A man addressed the Prophet (peace be upon him) in a loud voice and asked, "What do you command us regarding from where we should enter into the state of Ihram?" The Prophet (peace be upon him) said: "The people of Madinah will enter Ihram from Dhu'l-Hulayfah, the people of Sham from Juhfah, and the people of Najd from Qarn." Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) narrates: People say that the Prophet (peace be upon him) also said, "The people of Yemen will enter Ihram from Yalamlam" (the narrator is in doubt, perhaps the words are) "from Iyalamlam." This doubt is from the narrator named Yahya. Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) narrates: A man asked the Prophet (peace be upon him), "When we enter into Ihram, what clothes should we wear?" The Prophet (peace be upon him) said: "Do not wear a shirt, trousers, turban, cap, or leather socks, but if someone does not have shoes, he should cut his socks below the ankles, and (the person in Ihram) should not wear any garment that has saffron or wars applied to it."
