Virtues of Medina - Allah tests those who intend harm to the people of Medina with severe trials
Hadith 3737
أَخْبَرَنَا جَعْفَرُ بْنُ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ سِنَانٍ الْقَطَّانُ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ الْمِقْدَامِ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا بِشْرُ بْنُ الْمُفَضَّلِ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَمْرٍو ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنِي أَبُو عَبْدِ اللَّهِ الْقَرَّاظُ أَنَّهُ ، سَمِعَ أَبَا هُرَيْرَةَ ، يَقُولُ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " مَنْ أَرَادَ أَهْلَ الْمَدِينَةِ بِسُوءٍ ، أَذَابَهُ اللَّهُ كَمَا يَذُوبُ الْمِلْحُ فِي الْمَاءِ " .
Sayyiduna Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: The Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Whoever intends evil against the people of Madinah, Allah will dissolve him (in the fire of Hell) just as salt dissolves in water."
