Virtues of Mecca - The Black Stone and Maqam Ibrahim are jewels from Paradise
Hadith 3710
أَخْبَرَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ بِسْطَامٍ بِالْبَصْرَةَ ، حَدَّثَنَا هُدْبَةُ بْنُ خَالِدٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا رَجَاءُ بْنُ صُبَيْحٍ الْحَرَشِيُّ ، حَدَّثَنَا مُسَافِعُ بْنُ شَيْبَةَ الْحَجَبِيُّ ، قَالَ : سَمِعْتُ عَبْدَ اللَّهِ بْنَ عَمْرٍو ، يَقُولُ : سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، يَقُولُ وَهُوَ مُسْنِدٌ ظَهْرَهُ إِلَى الْكَعْبَةِ : " الرُّكْنُ وَالْمَقَامُ يَاقُوتَتَانِ مَنْ يَوَاقِيتِ الْجَنَّةِ ، وَلَوْلا أَنَّ اللَّهَ طَمَسَ عَلَى نُورِهِمَا لأَضَاءَتَا مَا بَيْنَ الْمَشْرِقِ وَالْمَغْرِبِ " .
Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Amr (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: I heard the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) saying: He had his back against the Ka'bah. "The Black Stone and Maqam Ibrahim are both rubies from the rubies of Paradise. If Allah had not veiled their light, they would have illuminated the space between the East and the West."
