Virtues of Mecca - Mecca is the best and most beloved land to Allah
Hadith 3708
أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْحَسَنِ بْنِ قُتَيْبَةَ بْنِ زِيَادِ بْنِ الطُّفَيْلِ اللَّخْمِيُّ أَبُو الْعَبَّاسِ بِعَسْقَلانَ ، حَدَّثَنَا عِيسَى بْنُ حَمَّادٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا اللَّيْثُ ، عَنْ عَقِيلٍ ، عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ ، أَنَّ أَبَا سَلَمَةَ بْنَ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ أَخْبَرَهُ ، أَنَّ عَبْدَ اللَّهِ بْنَ عَدِيِّ بْنِ حَمْرَاءَ الزُّهْرِيَّ ، قَالَ : رَأَيْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ عَلَى رَاحِلَتِهِ وَاقِفًا بِالْحَزْوَرَةِ ، يَقُولُ : " وَاللَّهِ إِنَّكِ لَخَيْرُ أَرْضِ اللَّهِ ، وَأَحَبُّ أَرْضِ اللَّهِ إِلَى اللَّهِ ، وَلَوْلا أَنِّي أُخْرِجْتُ مِنْكِ مَا خَرَجْتُ " .
Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Adi Zuhri (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: I saw the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) standing on his mount at the place of Hazwarah, and he was saying: “(O Makkah) By Allah! Indeed, you are the best part of Allah’s land, and you are the most beloved land of Allah to Allah. If I had not been driven out from you, I would not have left you.”
