Virtues of Hajj and Umrah - Allah forgives past sins for Umrah performed from Masjid al-Aqsa
Hadith 3701
أَخْبَرَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ عَلِيِّ بْنِ الْمُثَنَّى ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو خَيْثَمَةَ ، حَدَّثَنَا يَعْقُوبُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ بْنِ سَعْدٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبِي ، عَنِ ابْنِ إِسْحَاقَ ، حَدَّثَنِي سُلَيْمَانُ بْنُ سُحَيْمٍ مَوْلَى آلِ حُنَيْنٍ ، عَنْ يَحْيَى بْنِ أَبِي سُفْيَانَ الأَخْنَسِيِّ ، عَنْ أُمِّهِ أُمِّ حَكِيمٍ بِنْتِ أَبِي أُمَيَّةَ بْنِ الأَخْنَسِ ، عَنْ أُمِّ سَلَمَةَ ، قَالَتْ : سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، يَقُولُ : " مَنْ أَهَلَّ مِنَ الْمَسْجِدِ الأَقْصَى بِعُمْرَةٍ غُفِرَ لَهُ مَا تَقَدَّمَ مِنْ ذَنْبِهِ " ، قَالَ : فَرَكِبَتْ أُمُّ حَكِيمٍ إِلَى بَيْتِ الْمَقْدِسِ حَتَّى أَهَلَّتْ مِنْهُ بِعُمْرَةٍ " .
Sayyida Umm Salamah (may Allah be pleased with her) narrates: I heard the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) say, "Whoever enters into the state of Ihram for Umrah from Masjid Al-Aqsa, his past sins are forgiven." The narrator states: The female narrator of this narration, Sayyida Umm Hakim (may Allah be pleased with her), had traveled to Bayt Al-Maqdis and had entered into the state of Ihram for Umrah from there.
