Hadith 3683
أَخْبَرَنَا ابْنُ سَلْمٍ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا الُوَلِيدُ بْنُ مُسْلِمٍ ، عَنِ الأَوْزَاعِيِّ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنِي مَرْثَدُ بْنُ أَبِي مَرْثَدٍ ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ ، قَالَ : جَلَسْتُ عِنْدَ أَبِي ذَرٍّ عِنْدَ الْجَمْرَةِ الُوُسْطَى ، فَدَنَوْتُ مِنْهُ حَتَّى كَادَتْ رُكْبَتِي تَمَسُّ رُكْبَتَيْهِ ، فَقُلْتُ أَخْبِرْنِي عَنْ لَيْلَةِ الْقَدْرِ ، فَقَالَ أَنَا كُنْتُ اسْأَلُ النَّاسَ عَنْهَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ، فَقُلْتُ : يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ، أَخْبِرْنِي عَنْ لَيْلَةِ الْقَدْرِ تَكُونُ فِي زَمَانِ الأَنْبِيَاءِ ، يَنْزِلُ عَلَيْهِمُ الُوَحِيُ ، فَإِذَا قُبِضُوا رُفِعَتْ ؟ فَقَالَ : " بَلْ هِيَ إِلَى يَوْمِ الْقِيَامَةِ " ، فَقُلْتُ : يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ، فَأَخْبِرْنِي فِي أَيِّ الشَّهْرِ هِيَ ؟ فَقَالَ : " إِنَّ اللَّهَ لَوْ أَذِنَ لأَخْبَرْتُكُمْ بِهَا ، فَالْتَمِسُوهَا فِي الْعَشْرِ الأَوَاخِرِ فِي إِحْدَى السُّبُعَيْنِ ، وَلا تَسْأَلْنِي عَنْهَا بَعْدَ مَرَّتِكَ هَذِهِ " ، قَالَ : وَأَقْبَلَ عَلَى أَصْحَابِهِ يُحَدِّثُهُمْ ، فَلَمَّا رَأَيْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ اسْتَطْلَقَ بِهِ الْحَدِيثُ ، فَقُلْتُ : أَقْسَمْتُ عَلَيْكَ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ لَتُخْبِرَنِّي فِي أَيِّ السُّبُعَيْنِ هِيَ ؟ قَالَ : فَغَضِبَ عَلَيَّ غَضَبًا لَمْ يَغْضَبْ عَلَيَّ مِثْلَهُ ، وَقَالَ : " لا أُمَّ لَكَ ، هِيَ تَكُونُ فِي السَّبْعِ الأَوَاخِرِ " .
Marthad bin Abu Marthad narrates from his father: I was sitting near Sayyiduna Abu Dharr Ghifari (may Allah be pleased with him) by the middle Jamarah. I moved closer to him until my knees touched his knees. I said: Tell me about the Night of Qadr. He replied: I have asked the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) about it more than anyone else. I said: O Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him)! Tell me about the Night of Qadr. Is it only in the times of the Prophets upon whom revelation was sent, and when they passed away, it was lifted? The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: No, rather it will continue until the Day of Resurrection. I said: O Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him)! Tell me, in which month does it occur? The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: If Allah permits, I will inform you about it. Seek it in the last ten nights, in one of the seven nights. After that, do not ask me about it. The narrator says: The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) became engaged in conversation with his companions. When I saw that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) was engaged in conversation, I said: O Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him)! I implore you to tell me whether it is in one of these two weeks? The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) became extremely angry with me; he had never been so angry with me before. He said: May your mother be bereaved of you! It is in the last week.
