I’tikaf and Laylat al-Qadr - Command to seek Laylat al-Qadr in the last seven nights
Hadith 3675
أَخْبَرَنَا عُمَرُ بْنُ سَعِيدِ بْنِ سِنَانٍ ، قَالَ : أَخْبَرَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ أَبِي بَكْرٍ ، عَنْ مَالِكٍ ، عَنْ نَافِعٍ ، عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ ، أَنَّ رِجَالا مِنْ أَصْحَابِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أُرُوا لَيْلَةَ الْقَدْرِ فِي السَّبْعِ الأَوَاخِرِ ، فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " إِنِّي أَرَى رُؤِيَاكُمْ قَدْ تَوَاطَأَتْ عَلَى السَّبْعِ ، فَمَنْ كَانَ مُتَحَرِّيهَا ، فَلِيَتَحَرَّهَا فِي السَّبْعِ الأَوَاخِرِ " .
Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) narrates: Some companions of the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) were shown Laylat al-Qadr in the last seven nights (in their dreams), so the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: I have noticed that your dreams agree regarding the last seven nights, so whoever wants to search for it should search for it in the last seven nights.
