1 hadith
Hadith 3604
Abdullah bin Abu Najeeh narrates from his father: I asked Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) about fasting on the day of Arafah. He replied: I performed Hajj with the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him), and he did not fast on that day. I performed Hajj with Sayyiduna Abu Bakr (may Allah be pleased with him), and he also did not fast on that day. I performed Hajj with Sayyiduna Umar (may Allah be pleased with him), and he also did not fast on that day. I performed Hajj with Sayyiduna Uthman (may Allah be pleased with him), and he also did not fast on that day. Therefore, I will not fast on that day, nor will I order anyone to fast, but I will also not prohibit it.
