Hadith 3592
أَخْبَرَنَا الْحُسَيْنُ بْنُ إِدْرِيسَ الأَنْصَارِيُّ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا هِشَامُ بْنُ عَمَّارٍ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الْحَمِيدُ بْنُ أَبِي الْعِشْرِينَ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا الأَوْزَاعِيُّ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنِي يَحِيَى بْنُ أَبِي كَثِيرٍ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنِي أَبُو سَلَمَةَ بْنُ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنِي أَبُو هُرَيْرَةَ ، قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " لا تَقَدَّمُوا بَيْنَ يَدَيْ رَمَضَانَ بِيَوْمٍ أَوْ يَوْمَيْنِ إِلا رَجُلٌ كَانَ يَصُومُ صِيَامًا فَلِيَصُمْهُ " .
Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: The Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Do not begin fasting one or two days before Ramadan, except for a person who (according to some other routine) keeps a fast, then he may fast on that day."
