1 hadith
Hadith 3577
Sayyiduna Abu Sa'id Khudri (may Allah be pleased with him) reports regarding the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) that he forbade continuous fasting (Sawm Wisal). So it was submitted to him, "But you also observe continuous fasting." The Noble Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "You are not like me. I spend the night in such a state that the One who feeds gives me food and the One who gives drink gives me drink. If any of you wishes to observe continuous fasting, then let him do so from one morning till the next morning." (That is, from one pre-dawn meal (suhoor) to the next, meaning at the time of breaking the fast, he should not eat or drink anything as usual.)
