Chapter on Fasting While Traveling - Indicating that breaking the fast while traveling is better than fasting
Hadith 3568
أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ بْنِ إِبْرَاهِيمَ مَوْلَى ثَقِيفٍ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا قُتَيْبَةُ بْنُ سَعِيدٍ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الْعَزِيزِ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ ، عَنْ عُمَارَةَ بْنِ غَزِيَّةَ ، عَنْ حَرْبِ بْنِ قَيْسٍ ، عَنْ نَافِعٍ ، عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ ، عَنْ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، قَالَ : " إنَّ اللَّهَ يُحِبُّ أَنْ تُؤْتَى رُخَصُهُ ، كَمَا يُحِبُّ أَنْ تُؤْتَى عَزَائِمُهُ " .
Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) narrates this statement of the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him): "Indeed, Allah Almighty likes that His concession be acted upon just as He likes that His obligatory command be acted upon."
