Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: At the place of Dhuhr, food was presented to the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him). The Prophet (peace be upon him) said to Sayyiduna Abu Bakr (may Allah be pleased with him) and Sayyiduna Umar (may Allah be pleased with him): "Both of you also eat." Both of them replied: "We are fasting." The Prophet (peace be upon him) said: "Load the belongings of both your companions, do the work for both of them (then he said to both of them): You two go ahead and eat." (Imam Ibn Hibban, may Allah have mercy on him, says:): By this, his intention was: I fear for you that due to weakness you will be in need of people, to the extent that you will have to say: 'Put the saddle for your two companions and do the work for your two companions.'"
