Chapter on Cupping While Fasting - Khalid al-Hadha’s narration differs from Asim’s as mentioned
Hadith 3534
أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عُمَرَ بْنِ يُوسُفَ ، حَدَّثَنَا بُنْدَارٌ ، حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الُوَهَّابِ ، حَدَّثَنَا خَالِدٌ ، عَنْ أَبِي قِلابَةَ ، عَنْ أَبِي الأَشْعَثِ الصَّنْعَانِيِّ ، عَنْ شَدَّادِ بْنِ أَوْسٍ ، قَالَ : كُنْتُ مَعَ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ إِلَى الْبَقِيعِ زَمَانَ الْفَتْحِ ، فَنَظَرَ إِلَى رَجُلٍ يَحْتَجِمُ ، فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " أَفْطَرَ الْحَاجِمُ وَالْمَحْجُومُ " .
Sayyiduna Shaddad bin Aws (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: I was going towards Baqi' with the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him). This was during the time of the conquest. The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) saw a man who was getting cupped, so the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: The one who does cupping and the one who gets cupped, their fast is broken.
