Hadith 3511
Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Abu Awfa (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: Once the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) was traveling. He was fasting. He said to one of his companions: "Dismount from your ride and mix sattu (barley drink) for us." He replied: "O Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him)! Let it be until evening." The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Dismount and mix sattu for us." The narrator says: That companion dismounted. He mixed sattu for the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him). The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) drank it. Then he said: "When you see night approaching from this side, then the fasting person should break his fast." The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) meant that it comes from the east.
