Chapter on Breaking the Fast and Hastening It - Those who hasten iftar are among the most beloved to Allah
Hadith 3507
أَخْبَرَنَا أَخْبَرَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ سَلْمٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ ، حَدَّثَنَا الُوَلِيدُ ، عَنِ الأَوْزَاعِيِّ ، حَدَّثَنِي قُرَّةُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ ، عَنِ الزُهْرِيِّ ، عَنْ أَبِي سَلَمَةَ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ ، قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " قَالَ اللَّهُ تَعَالَى : أَحَبُّ عِبَادِي إِلَيَّ أَعْجَلُهُمْ فِطْرًا " ، قَالَ أَبُو حَاتِمٍ : قُرَّةُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ هَذَا : هُوَ قُرَّةُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ حَيُوَئِيلَ ، اسْمُهُ يَحِيَى ، وَقُرَّةُ لَقَبٌ ، مِنْ ثِقَاتِ أَهْلِ مِصْرَ .
Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: The Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: “Allah Almighty says: Among My servants, the most beloved to Me are those who hasten to break their fast.” (Imam Ibn Hibban, may Allah have mercy on him, says:): The narrator named Qurrah bin Abdur Rahman is Qurrah bin Abdur Rahman bin Haywil. His name is Yahya and Qurrah is his title, and he is a trustworthy narrator from Egypt.
