Chapter on Breaking the Fast and Hastening It - Recommending hastening iftar even before Maghrib prayer
Hadith 3505
أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو يَعْلَى ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا حُسَيْنُ بْنُ عَلِيٍّ الْجُعْفِيُّ ، عَنْ زَائِدَةَ ، عَنْ حُمَيْدٍ ، عَنْ أَنَسٍ ، قَالَ : " مَا رَأَيْتُ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَطُّ صَلَّى الْمَغْرِبَ حَتَّى يُفْطِرَ ، وَلَوْ عَلَى شَرْبَةٍ مِنْ مَاءٍ " .
Sayyiduna Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: I never saw the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) performing the Maghrib prayer before breaking the fast, even if he took only a sip of water for iftar.
