Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: The Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Whoever spends a pair of something in the way of Allah, he will be called from the gates of Paradise. Paradise has several gates. Those who are regular in prayer will be called from the gate of prayer. Those who give charity will be called from the gate of charity. Those who strive in jihad will be called from the gate of jihad. Those who fast will be called from the gate of 'Rayyan.' Sayyiduna Abu Bakr (may Allah be pleased with him) said: O Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him)! Is it possible that someone will be called from all these gates? O Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him), will anyone be called from all these gates? The Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Yes, and I hope you will be one of them." (Imam Ibn Hibban, may Allah have mercy on him, says:): When the word 'Asa' (perhaps) is attributed to Allah Almighty, it means something is certain. And when the word 'Arju' (I hope) is attributed to the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him), it means: it will definitely happen.
