Chapter: Permissibility of Mentioning Favors to the Beneficiary in This World
Hadith 3382
أَخْبَرَنَا أَخْبَرَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ سَلْمٍ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا حَرْمَلَةُ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ وَهْبٍ ، قَالَ : أَخْبَرَنِي عَمْرُو بْنُ الْحَارِثِ ، أَنَّ دَرَّاجًا حَدَّثَهُ ، عَنْ أَبِي الْهَيْثَمِ ، عَنْ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ الْخُدْرِيِّ ، أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، قَالَ : " أَتَانِي جِبْرِيلُ ، فَقَالَ : إِنَّ رَبِّي وَرَبَّكَ يَقُولُ لَكَ : " كَيْفَ رَفَعْتُ ذِكْرَكَ ؟ " ، قَالَ : اللَّهُ أَعْلَمُ ، قَالَ : " إِذَا ذُكِرْتُ ذُكِرْتَ مَعِي " .
Sayyiduna Abu Sa'id Khudri (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "Jibreel (peace be upon him) came to me and informed me that my and your (peace be upon you) Lord has said to you (peace be upon you): 'How have I raised your (peace be upon you) mention?' The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: Allah knows best. So he informed: (Allah Almighty has said: When I am mentioned, you (peace be upon you) will also be mentioned along with Me.)"
