Voluntary Charity – The Angel’s Prayer for the Giver to Be Replenished and for the Withholder to Lose
Hadith 3333
أَخْبَرَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ الأَزْدِيُّ ، حَدَّثَنَا إِسْحَاقُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ ، أَخْبَرَنَا عَبْدُ الصَّمَدِ ، حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادٌ ، عَنْ إِسْحَاقَ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ أَبِي طَلْحَةَ ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ أَبِي عَمْرَةَ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ ، عَنْ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، قَالَ : " إِنَّ مَلَكًا بِبَابٍ مِنْ أَبُوَابِ الْجَنَّةِ ، يَقُولُ : مَنْ يُقْرِضِ الِيَوْمَ يُجْزَ غَدًا ، وَمَلَكٌ بِبَابٍ آخَرَ يَقُولُ : اللَّهُمَّ أَعْطِ مُنْفِقًا خَلَفًا ، وَأَعْطِ مُمْسِكًا تَلَفًا " .
Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates this statement of the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him): “At one of the gates of Paradise, an angel says: Who is the person who will give a loan today so that it may be repaid tomorrow? At another gate, an angel says: O Allah! Grant more to the one who spends (in Your way), and destroy the wealth of the one who does not spend.”
