Hadith 3321
Sayyiduna Abu Sa'id Khudri (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: The Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) used to go out on the days of Eid al-Fitr and Eid al-Adha. He (peace be upon him) would perform two rak'ahs, then say salam, then face the people in the Eid ground and stand. Then he (peace be upon him) would sit and face the people and say to them: Give charity and alms. So most of the women would give their earrings and rings, etc., in charity. If the Prophet (peace be upon him) had to dispatch an expedition, he would discuss it; otherwise, he would return.
