Hadith 3263
أَخْبَرَنَا إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ عَلِيِّ بْنِ عَبْدِ الْعَزِيزِ الْعُمَرِيُّ ، بِالْمَوْصِلِ ، حَدَّثَنَا مُعَلَّى بْنُ مَهْدِيٍّ ، حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادُ بْنُ زَيْدٍ ، عَنْ عَاصِمٍ ، عَنْ أَبِي وَائِلٍ ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ، قَالَ : تُوُفِّيَ رَجُلٌ مِنْ أَهْلِ الصُّفَّةِ ، فَوَجَدُوا فِي شَمْلَتِهِ دِينَارَيْنِ ، فَذَكَرُوا ذَلِكَ لِلنَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَقَالَ : " كَيَّتَانِ " .
Sayyiduna Abdullah (bin Mas'ud, may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: A man from among the people of Suffah passed away, and two dinars were found in his sheet. The people mentioned this to the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him), so he (peace be upon him) said: These two are marks of branding.
