Hadith 3192
أَخْبَرَنَا الْحَسَنُ بْنُ سُفْيَانَ ، حَدَّثَنَا إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ الْمُنْذِرِ ، حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ وَهْبٍ ، حَدَّثَنِي عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ شُرَيْحٍ ، عَنْ سَهْلِ بْنِ أَبِي أُمَامَةَ بْنِ سَهْلِ بْنِ حُنَيْفٍ ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ ، عَنْ جَدِّهِ ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَنَّهُ قَالَ : " مَنْ سَأَلَ اللَّهَ الشَّهَادَةَ بِصِدْقٍ ، بَلَّغَهُ اللَّهُ مَنَازِلَ الشُّهَدَاءِ وَإِنْ مَاتَ عَلَى فِرَاشِهِ " .
Sahl bin Abu Umamah narrates from his father, who narrates from his grandfather, that the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) said: "Whoever sincerely asks Allah for martyrdom, Allah will grant him the rank of the martyrs even if he dies on his bed."
