Hadith 3155
أَخْبَرَنَا عِمْرَانُ بْنُ مُوسَى بْنِ مُجَاشِعٍ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا عُثْمَانُ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ نُمَيْرٍ ، عَنْ يَحْيَى بْنِ سَعِيدٍ ، عَنْ عَمْرَةَ ، أَنَّهَا سَمِعَتْ عَائِشَةَ ، تَقُولُ : لَمَّا جَاءَ نَعْيُ جَعْفَرِ بْنِ أَبِي طَالِبٍ ، وَزَيْدِ بْنِ حَارِثَةَ ، وَعَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ رَوَاحَةَ ، جَلَسَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، يُعْرَفُ فِي وَجْهِهِ الْحُزْنُ ، قَالَتْ عَائِشَةُ : وَأَنَا أَطَّلِعُ مِنْ شَقِّ الْبَابِ ، فَأَتَاهُ رَجُلٌ ، فَقَالَ : يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ، إِنَّ نِسَاءَ جَعْفَرٍ قَدْ كَثُرَ بُكَاؤُهُنَّ ، فَأَمَرَهُ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَنْ يَنْهَاهُنَّ ، قَالَتْ عَائِشَةُ : فَذَهَبَ الرَّجُلُ ، ثُمَّ جَاءَ ، فَقَالَ : قَدْ نَهَيْتُهُنَّ وَإِنَّهُنَّ لَمْ يَطِعْنَنِي ، حَتَّى كَانَ فِي الثَّالِثَةِ ، فَزَعَمَتْ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ : " احْثُ فِي أَفْوَاهِهِنَّ التُّرَابَ " ، قَالَتْ عَائِشَةُ : فَقُلْتُ : أَرْغَمَ اللَّهُ بِأَنْفِكَ ، مَا أَنْتَ بِفَاعِلٍ مَا يَذْكُرُ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ .
Lady Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) narrates: When the news of the martyrdom of Sayyiduna Ja'far bin Abi Talib (may Allah be pleased with him), Sayyiduna Zaid bin Harith (may Allah be pleased with him), and Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Rawaha (may Allah be pleased with him) came, the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) sat down, and intense grief could be seen on his face. Lady Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) narrates: I was peeking through a crack in the door. A man came to the service of the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) and said: O Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him)! The women in the house of Sayyiduna Ja'far (may Allah be pleased with him) are weeping excessively. So the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) instructed that man to stop those women from doing so. Lady Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) narrates: That man went away, then he came back and said: I have stopped them, but they are not listening to me. This happened three times. Lady Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) narrates: The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: Throw dust in their mouths. Lady Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) narrates: I (in my heart) said: May Allah soil your nose with dust; why do you not do what the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) is telling you?
