Hadith 3147
أَخْبَرَنَا
أَحْمَدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بِحَرَّانَ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا
النُّفَيْلِيُّ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا
عُبَيْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ عَمْرٍو ، عَنْ
يَحْيَى بْنِ سَعِيدٍ ، عَنْ
عَمْرَةَ ، عَنْ
عَائِشَةَ ، قَالَتْ : لَمَّا جَاءَ نَعْيُ زَيْدِ بْنِ حَارِثَةَ ، وَجَعْفَرٍ ، وَعَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ رَوَاحَةَ ، جَلَسَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، يُعْرَفُ فِي وَجْهِهِ الْحُزْنُ ، فَأَتَاهُ رَجُلٌ ، فَقَالَ : هَذِهِ نِسَاءُ جَعْفَرٍ يَنُحْنَ عَلَيْهِ ، وَقَدْ أَكْثَرْنَ بُكَاءَهُنَّ ، قَالَ : فَأَمَرَهُ أَنْ يَنْهَاهُنَّ ، فَمَكَثَ شَيْئًا ثُمَّ رَجَعَ ، فَذَكَرَ أَنَّهُ نَهَاهُنَّ ، فَأَبَيْنَ أَنْ يُطِعْنَهُ ، فَأَمَرَهُ الثَّانِيَةَ أَنْ يَنْهَاهُنَّ ، قَالَ : فَذَكَرَ أَنَّهُ قَدْ غَلَبْنَهُ قَالَ : " فَاحْثُ فِي وُجُوهِهِنَّ التُّرَابَ " ، قَالَتْ عَمْرَةُ : فَقَالَتْ عَائِشَةُ عِنْدَ ذَلِكَ : أَرْغَمَ اللَّهُ بِآنَافِهِنَّ ، وَاللَّهِ مَا تَرَكْتَ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، وَمَا أَنْتَ بِفَاعِلٍ .
Lady Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) narrates: When the news of the passing of Sayyiduna Zaid bin Harithah (may Allah be pleased with him), Sayyiduna Ja’far (may Allah be pleased with him), and Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Rawahah (may Allah be pleased with him) reached, the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) sat down, and the signs of grief were apparent on his face. A man came to the service of the Prophet (peace be upon him) and said: The women of Ja’far’s house are wailing over him and crying excessively. The narrator says: The Prophet (peace be upon him) instructed that man to forbid the women from doing so. After a while, that man returned and mentioned that he had forbidden them, but the women refused to accept his words. The Prophet (peace be upon him) instructed him again to forbid them. The narrator says: Then he came and mentioned that the women had overpowered him, so the Prophet (peace be upon him) said: Throw dust on their faces. A woman named Umrah says that on this occasion, Lady Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) said: May Allah soil the noses of those women with dust! By Allah! You do not leave the Messenger of Allah, nor do you act upon what he commands you.

أَحْمَدُ بْنُ عَلِيِّ بْنِ الْمُثَنَّى ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا
مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ بَكَّارِ بْنِ الرَّيَّانِ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا
مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ طَلْحَةِ بْنِ مُصَرِّفٍ ، عَنِ
الْحَكَمِ بْنِ عُتَيْبَةَ ، عَنْ
عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ شَدَّادِ بْنِ الْهَادِ ، عَنِ
أَسْمَاءَ بِنْتِ عُمَيْسٍ ، أَنَّهَا قَالَتْ : لَمَّا أُصِيبَ جَعْفَرُ بْنُ أَبِي طَالِبٍ أَمَرَنِي رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَقَالَ : " تَسَلَّمِي ثَلاثًا ، ثُمَّ اصْنَعِي بَعْدُ مَا شِئْتِ " ، قَالَ أَبُو حَاتِمٍ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ : قَوْلُهُ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ " تَسَلَّمِي ثَلاثًا " لَفْظَةُ أَمْرٍ قُرِنَتْ بِعَدَدٍ مَوْصُوفٍ قُصِدَ بِهِ الْحَسْمُ عَمَّا لا يَحِلُّ اسْتِعْمَالٌ فِي ذَلِكَ الْعَدَدِ ، قَوْلُهُ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " اصْنَعِي بَعْدُ مَا شِئْتِ " لَفْظَةُ أَمْرٍ قُصِدَ بِهِ الإبَاحَةُ فِي ظَاهِرِ الْخَطَّابِ ، مُرَادُهَا الزَّجْرُ عَنِ اسْتِعْمَالِ مَا أَمَرَ بِهِ ، يُرِيدُ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ بِقَوْلِهِ مَا وَصَفْتُ التَّسْلِيمَ لأَمْرِ اللَّهِ جَلَّ وَعَلا فِي الأَيَّامِ الثَّلاثِ وَقَبْلَهَا وَبَعْدَهَا .
Lady Asma bint Umais (may Allah be pleased with her) narrates: When Sayyiduna Ja'far bin Abi Talib (may Allah be pleased with him) was martyred, the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) instructed me, saying: "You should mourn for three days, then do whatever you wish." (Imam Ibn Hibban, may Allah have mercy on him, says:): The statement of the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him): "You should mourn for three days." In this, the wording is in the imperative form, which is qualified by a number. By this, it is meant: To prohibit the use of something in such a quantity that its use is not permissible, and the statement of the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him): "Then do whatever you wish." Here, too, the words are in the imperative form. Apparently, this seems to be for permission, but what is meant is to prohibit acting upon what was previously commanded. So, through these words, the intention of the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) is: During these three days and before them, entrust all matters to the command of Allah Almighty.
