Hadith 3144
Ubaid bin Umair narrates: Sayyida Umm Salama (may Allah be pleased with her) stated that when Sayyiduna Abu Salama (may Allah be pleased with him) passed away, I said: He was a stranger who died far from his homeland. I will weep over him in such a way that it will become known. I even prepared myself to weep over him. Then a woman came who used to assist in weeping; she also intended to join me. Then the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) came to them and said: Do you want to let Satan enter a house from which Allah Almighty has expelled him? Sayyida Umm Salama (may Allah be pleased with her) states: So I refrained from weeping, and I did not weep.
Hadith 3145
Sayyida Umm Atiyya (may Allah be pleased with her) narrates: When this verse was revealed, "When believing women come to you to give you the pledge..." — this verse up to, "and that they will not disobey you in what is right." Sayyida Umm Atiyya (may Allah be pleased with her) narrates: One of those things is wailing (mourning loudly). I said: O Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him)! Please allow me to wail only with such-and-such woman, because she supported me in the time of ignorance, so it is necessary for me to support her as well. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Only for her (you may wail).
