Hadith 3127
حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ عَلِيِّ بْنِ الْمُثَنَّى ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو خَيْثَمَةَ ، حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ خَازِمٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا الأَعْمَشُ ، عَنْ زَيْدِ بْنِ وَهْبٍ ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ حَسَنَةَ ، قَالَ : خَرَجَ عَلَيْنَا رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، وَفِي يَدِهِ كَهَيْئَةِ الدَّرَقَةِ ، فَوَضَعَهَا ، ثُمَّ بَالَ إِلَيْهَا فَقَالَ بَعْضُ الْقَوْمِ : انْظُرُوا إِلَيْهِ يَبُولُ كَمَا تَبُولُ الْمَرْأَةُ ، قَالَ : فَسَمِعَهُ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَقَالَ : " وَيْحَكَ ، مَا عَلِمْتَ مَا أَصَابَ صَاحِبَ بَنِي إِسْرَائِيلَ ؟ كَانُوا إِذَا أَصَابَهُمْ شَيْءٌ مِنَ الْبَوْلِ ، قَرَضُوا بِالْمَقَارِيضِ فَنَهَاهُمْ ، فَعُذِّبَ فِي قَبْرِهِ " .
Sayyiduna Abdur Rahman bin Hasnah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: The Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) came to us, and in his blessed hand was something like a shield. He (peace be upon him) placed it down and, turning towards it, urinated. Someone among those present said: Look at him, he is urinating the way a woman urinates. The narrator says: The Prophet (peace be upon him) heard his words and said: Woe to you! Do you not know what happened to the man from the Children of Israel? Their practice was that when urine would get on their bodies, they would cut it off with scissors. A man forbade them from this, so he was punished in his grave for it.
