Section on the state of the dead in the grave – The Prophet made the voices of punished disbelievers heard in their graves
Hadith 3124
أَخْبَرَنَا عِمْرَانُ بْنُ مُوسَى بْنِ مُجَاشِعٍ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا عُثْمَانُ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا وَكِيعٌ ، عَنْ شُعْبَةَ ، عَنْ عَوْنِ بْنِ أَبِي جُحَيْفَةَ ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ ، عَنِ الْبَرَاءِ بْنِ عَازِبٍ ، عَنْ أَبِي أَيُّوبَ الأَنْصَارِيِّ ، أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ سَمِعَ صَوْتًا حِينَ غَرَبَتِ الشَّمْسُ ، فَقَالَ : " هَذِهِ أَصْوَاتُ الْيَهُودِ تُعَذَّبُ فِي قُبُورِهَا " .
Sayyiduna Bara bin Azib (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates from Sayyiduna Abu Ayyub Ansari (may Allah be pleased with him): Once, the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) heard a sound at the time of sunset, so he (peace and blessings be upon him) said: This is the sound of the Jews who are being punished in their graves.
