Hadith 3089
أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو عَرُوبَةَ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا الْمُغِيرَةُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ الْحَرَّانِيُّ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا وَهْبُ بْنُ جَرِيرٍ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ ، عَنِ إِسْمَاعِيلَ بْنِ أَبِي خَالِدٍ ، عَنِ الشَّعْبِيِّ ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ ، قَالَ : " انْتَهَى النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ إِلَى قَبْرٍ مَنْبُوذٍ فَصَلَّى عَلَيْهِ ، وَصَلَّيْنَا مَعَهُ " .
Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them) narrates: The Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) came to a grave, and he (peace be upon him) offered the funeral prayer over it. We performed the funeral prayer behind him, following his lead.
