Hadith 3066
أَخْبَرَنَا الْحَسَنُ بْنُ سُفْيَانَ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ أَبِي فُدَيْكٍ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنِي الضَّحَّاكُ بْنُ عُثْمَانَ ، عَنْ أَبِي النَّضْرِ ، عَنْ أَبِي سَلَمَةَ ، أَنَّ عَائِشَةَ ، لَمَّا تُوُفِّيَ سَعْدٌ ، قَالَتْ : ادْخُلُوا بِهِ الْمَسْجِدَ حَتَّى أُصَلِّيَ عَلَيْهِ ، فَأُنْكِرَ ذَلِكَ عَلَيْهَا ، فَقَالَتْ : " وَاللَّهِ لَقَدْ صَلَّى رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ عَلَى ابْنِ بَيْضَاءَ فِي الْمَسْجِدِ " .
It is narrated about Sayyidah Aisha Siddiqa (may Allah be pleased with her): When Sayyiduna Sa’d (may Allah be pleased with him) passed away, Sayyidah Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) said: "Bring his body into the mosque so that I may also perform his funeral prayer." When this was objected to, she said: "By Allah! The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) performed the funeral prayer of Sayyiduna Sahl bin Bayda’ (may Allah be pleased with him) in the mosque."
