فصل في الموت وما يتعلق به من راحة المؤمن وبشراه وروحه وعمله والثناء عليه - ذكر إيجاب الجنة لمن أثنى عليه الناس بالخير إذ هم شهود الله في الأرض
Section on death and related matters: comfort of the believer, glad tidings, soul, deeds, and praise – Paradise is assured for one praised by people, for they are Allah’s witnesses on earth
Hadith 3027
أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو يَعْلَى ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ الْجَعْدِ ، قَالَ : أَخْبَرَنَا شُعْبَةُ ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الْعَزِيزِ بْنِ صُهَيْبٍ ، قَالَ : سَمِعْتُ أَنَسَ بْنَ مَالِكٍ ، يَقُولُ : مَاتَ رَجُلٌ ، فَمَرُّوا بِجَنَازَتِهِ عَلَى النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، فَأَثْنَوْا عَلَيْهَا شَرًّا ، فَقَالَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " وَجَبَتْ " ، وَمَرُّوا بِأُخْرَى ، فَأَثْنَوْا عَلَيْهَا خَيْرًا ، فَقَالَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " وَجَبَتْ " فَسَأَلَهُ عُمَرُ عَنْ ذَلِكَ ، فَقَالَ : " أَنْتُمْ شُهُودُ اللَّهِ فِي الأَرْضِ " .
Sayyiduna Anas bin Malik (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: A man passed away and people carried his funeral by the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him). The people spoke ill of him, so the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "It has become obligatory." Then people passed by with another funeral and spoke well of him, so the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "It has become obligatory." Sayyiduna Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) asked the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) about this, so he (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "You are Allah's witnesses on earth."
