Hadith 3016
أَخْبَرَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ هَاجِكٍ الْهَرَوِيُّ ، حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ حُجْرٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا إِسْمَاعِيلُ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ ، عَنِ الْعَلاءِ ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ ، أَنّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ : " إِذَا مَاتَ الإِنْسَانُ انْقَطَعَ عَمَلُهُ إِلا مِنْ ثَلاثٍ : صَدَقَةٍ جَارِيَةٍ ، أَوْ عِلْمٍ يُنْتَفَعُ بِهِ ، أَوْ وَلَدٍ صَالِحٍ يَدْعُو لَهُ " .
Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah, may Allah be pleased with him, narrates this statement of the Prophet Muhammad, peace and blessings be upon him: "When a person dies, his deeds come to an end except for three (deeds whose reward does not cease): ongoing charity, or knowledge from which benefit is derived, or a righteous child who prays for him."
