Hadith 3010
أَخْبَرَنَا عِمْرَانُ بْنُ مُوسَى بْنِ مُجَاشِعٍ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ بَشَّارٍ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ بَكْرٍ الْبُرْسَانِيُّ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا سَعِيدٌ ، عَنْ قَتَادَةَ ، عَنْ زُرَارَةَ بْنِ أَوْفَى ، عَنْ سَعْدِ بْنِ هِشَامٍ ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ ، قَالَتْ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " مَنْ أَحَبَّ لِقَاءَ اللَّهِ ، أَحَبَّ اللَّهُ لِقَاءَهُ ، وَمَنْ كَرِهَ لِقَاءَ اللَّهِ ، كَرِهَ اللَّهُ لِقَاءَهُ " ، قَالَتْ : فَقُلْتُ : يَا نَبِيَّ اللَّهِ ، كَرَاهِيَةُ الْمَوْتِ ؟ فَكُلُّنَا نَكْرَهُ الْمَوْتَ ، قَالَ : " لَيْسَ كَذَلِكَ ، وَلَكِنَّ الْمُؤْمِنَ إِذَا بُشِّرَ بِرَحْمَةِ اللَّهِ وَرِضْوَانِهِ وَجَنَّتِهِ أَحَبَّ لِقَاءَ اللَّهِ ، وَأَحَبَّ اللَّهُ لِقَاءَهُ ، وَإِنَّ الْكَافِرَ إِذَا بُشِّرَ بِعَذَابِ اللَّهِ وَسَخَطِهِ كَرِهَ لِقَاءَ اللَّهِ ، وَكَرِهَ اللَّهُ لِقَاءَهُ " .
Lady Aisha Siddiqa (may Allah be pleased with her) narrates: The Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Whoever likes to meet Allah, Allah also likes to meet him, and whoever dislikes to meet Allah, Allah also dislikes to meet him." Lady Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) narrates: I asked, "O Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him), does this mean disliking death? Every one of us dislikes death." The Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "It is not like that. Rather, when the believer is given the glad tidings of Allah's mercy, His pleasure, and Paradise, he likes to meet Allah, and Allah also likes to meet him. And when the disbeliever is informed of Allah's punishment and His displeasure, he dislikes to meet Allah, and Allah also dislikes to meet him."
